Good Talk started with a simple idea:
Teach people to communicate better and create a more conscientious, authentic, and compassionate world.
Founder Kimberly Absher has always been obsessed with how we relate to each other. Relationships are everything, and she saw that a major culprit in difficult relationships was a lack of practical, effective communication skills.
On a mission to alleviate that pain, she began exploring what it takes to heal our relationships and adopted a core belief: our connection to others mirrors our connection to ourselves. Or in the words of the sage RuPaul, "If you can't love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?"
So at Good Talk, we improve our communication with others by starting considering how we "talk to" ourselves. It's a bold move with incredible payoffs.
